I have a big garden, does my home insurance cover plants?

Home insurance questions answered: landscaping


The answer is yes! But only on HOMEOWNERS policies, not renters. Up to 5% of the overall dwelling coverage will go to cover plants and landscaping if damaged by a covered loss, such as hail.
